Yunam Peak at an altitude of 20,045 ft is a tough but stunning trekkable peak located in the Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh. Yunam Peak is a great alternative to the summits likes of Kang Yatse 2 and Stok Kangri in Ladakh. The summit offers great panoramic views of the Chandra Bhaga / C.B. Range and the Mulkilla Range with views stretching as far as Zanskar. However, this climbing to Yunam Peak is difficult and tough and is meant for experienced/Professional trekkers only. Climbing into dry atmosphere, high altitude and bone-chilling winds and across moraines and scree this are multiple challenges during Yunam climbing. The Yunam Peak climbing expedition is a great and perfect choice for aspiring mountaineers who wish to summit a peak that is not as crowded like Stok Kangri.
